Don’t you just love today’s Google Doodle? The doodles never fail to bring a smile to the face. The developers must have such fun implementing the creative briefs they are given. Doesn’t work in IE8 but all the more reason to upgrade your browser!

Fresh Ideas gets a revamp!

We are now 100% WordPress because frankly it’s just a fantastic Content Management System.

Up until recently the old site was built upon a mashup of 3 different CMS – many developers have contributed to the behemoth over the years and it was becoming a bit unwieldy.

Proudly powered by WordPressWe are going through the process of upgrading critical services on one of our dedicated servers which required the site to be moved so we took the decision to give it a complete overhaul.

Clients often make a point of commenting on the simplicity of our own site’s visual design so we didn’t want to deviate too far from it (not to mention the importance of maintaining the brand). However we have made it our goal to simplify it as much as possible and the results are a much fresher look and feel that’s easier to navigate.

Naturally we have taken the opportunity to experiment with some new techniques, add cool gadgets and a subtle touch of humour – a staple part of the creative process.

Overall we have a much better platform for delivering content and we are hoping to post blogs more frequently when our busy schedules allow it that could perhaps give a better insight into the thought that has to go into web development.

PS. we love Google Chrome.
